The design of the French Booth for the Cairo International Book Fair was based on three principles:

1. Designing a modular unit to accommodate the different shelving arrangements based on the needs of each bookstore.
2. The units are manufactured separately off-site including steel frames, wooden boxes and lighting units: giving the possibility to disassemble, package and store for future use.
3. The layout is designed to maximize the shelving area for the multiple bookstores and a lounge area.
