With a prime location between 26th of July and Sherif Streets, the Rabbat Passageway has the potential to provide facilities and workspaces missing in Downtown. The intervention in the Rabbat passageway seeks to renovate the infrastructure serving the passageway, including lighting, rainwater drainage and irrigation, as well as any essential rerouting or servicing to existing infrastructure. These changes will result in a greener, safer and more accessible public space, particularly for women and the disabled. The passage will also accommodate other functions, such as public seating, pop-up installations and community events, attracting more diverse usage, making it more inclusive and improving business for existing shopkeepers.
