The Urban Signage Workshop, organized and led by CLUSTER, Ahmad Saqfalheit, and Alaa El-Hadidy, aims to support the local neighborhood of Ard al-Liwa through a pilot project to design and implement new signage for a set of stores, workshops as well as street names in and around Mohamed Ali Al-Assari Street. The workshop brings together applied and fine arts students from one side, and craftsmen from another side, for a duration of one week, in a series of participatory design sessions. This workshop is part of the Informality as Creativity Series, supported by the Dutch Embassy.
